Selena Caldera is a doctoral candidate at the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin. Selena’s specialization is aging and health care policy. Most recently, she was the Senior Strategy Analyst for Central Health, the health care district for Travis County, Texas. Her work includes more than ten years of research experience in various public policy areas, including health care, education, immigration, and retirement income policy. Selena has served in research and statistical analysis positions at the office of the Texas Comptroller of Public Accounts, AARP’s Public Policy Institute, the Department of Homeland Security, Congressional Budget Office, and the U.S. Census Bureau. Selena holds a Master in Public Policy from the McCourt School of Public Policy at Georgetown University and a Bachelor of Arts in Government from the University of Texas at Austin.
