Now Virtual: National Prenatal-to-3 Research to Policy Summit

National Prenatal-to-3 Research to Policy Summit

Our work at the Child and Family Research Partnership and the Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center has taken on new meaning in light of the COVID-19 pandemic and the national attention toward eradicating systematic racism. The already extensive social, economic, and health needs of our nation’s children and families have been amplified, and there is an additional sense of urgency as we all seek the most effective and equitable solutions to ensure all children and families thrive.

As previously announced, we are bringing together policymakers, practitioners, advocates, and scholars from across the country in September at the National Prenatal-to-3 Research to Policy Summit.

Our hope was to bring everyone together in person at The University of Texas at Austin. However, after active monitoring of national updates and local ordinances, we’ve made the hard decision to go 100% virtual for the Summit. The safety and health of attendees, invited speakers, and our team members are of utmost importance.

Please mark your calendars for the revised date for the Summit: Tuesday, September 15, 2020 from 11:00am – 2:00pm Central Time. Drs. Joia Crear-Perry, Iheoma Iruka, and Jack Shonkoff are our featured speakers, and we're excited to launch our inaugural 2020 Prenatal-to-3 State Policy Roadmap.

We hope this new format will bring even more into the conversation, so please forward with your colleagues. Formal registration will open by the end of June. More here.
