CFRP Year in Pictures: 2014

We hope you had as wonderful a 2014 as we did! The amount of custom surveys, focus groups, data analysis, travel all over Texas and the country, journal writing, report writing, brief writing, data visualizations, presentations, and special events that we have conducted/ developed/ coordinated/ managed over just one year boggles our minds sometimes. But we've also had an amazing amount of fun with each other. Here is CFRP's 2014 year how we like to remember it best, in pictures!

February 2014

Carlos Herrera, Victoria Walsh, Anna Lipton Galbraith, and Kaeley Bobbitt conquered the infamously hilly and iconic Austin Half and Full Marathon.

March 2014

CFRP Director Cynthia Osborne got much-deserved recognition for her work and service at the University of Texas at Austin's Men's basketball game.

May 2014

Always a bittersweet time, we said farewell to our graduating students (Judy, Helen, Cate, Ruqiyyah, Eric, Victoria, and Courtney) who went off to do great and wonderful things in the world.

June 2014

CFRPers, including our summer interns, enjoyed a couple of days out of the office for an event we hosted, the first ever statewide data summit for the Texas Home Visiting program.

July 2014

We had FIFA World Cup fever at the office but were a little sad that the US just got knocked out by Belgium.

July 2014

We said goodbye to Laura Bellows, one of our forever CFRPers, as she went to pursue her doctorate at Duke.  We dedicated a CFRP Dress-Up Day to her (short suits!) and spelled out her name in homage.

August 2014

Daniel Dillon represented CFRP splendidly when he presented his work at the National Child Support Enforcement Association conference in Portland. Most of all though, we were happy they had photo booth.

October 2014

We do love dressing up at CFRP, and Halloween is no exception. Anna Lipton Galbraith won our Halloween costume contest handily as our flying unicorn, and only users of Asana will get it.

November 2014

CFRP co-hosted a policy event at the Texas Capitol marking the first state level conversation about toxic stress in early childhood. Everyone cleaned up so nicely for the occasion.

December 2014

We saw some awesome, festive entries in our annual office/cubicle holiday decoration contest. GRAs Nora Ankrum (pictured) and Sydney Briggs got the top prize with their amazing "Winter Lodge" cubicle, complete with wood paneling, fireplace, and moose.

Happy Holidays and Happy New Year!
