Abby is policy research associate focusing on early childhood care and education, as a part of CFRP’s new Prenatal-to-3 Policy Impact Center. She recently earned her Ph.D. in public policy from the LBJ School of Public Affairs at The University of Texas at Austin, where her research focused on nonstandard work schedules, child care, and maternal wellbeing among low-income families. Abby previously worked as a graduate research assistant at CFRP, working on evaluations of the Texas Home Visiting Program, Military and Veteran Families Pilot Prevention Program, and fatherhood programs. Before returning to graduate school, Abby worked as a policy fellow covering family economic security, education, and employment issues at the National Women's Law Center in Washington, DC. She also holds an M.P.P. from The George Washington University and a B.A. in political science from St. Olaf College.
